Public schools in the United States face steadily increasing demands while struggling with diminishing resources. Current public funding leaves little to no resources to support the exploratory programs that advance teaching methods and provide supplemental educational experiences. Alternate private funding sources, such as public school foundations, play an increasingly important role in providing the necessary resources.
